Trash Polka Tattoos

The term "trash polka" was coined by Simone and Volko, founders of the Buena Vista Tattoo Club tattoo studio in Germany. They created a black and white tattoo style with a touch of red and graphic elements. Personally, I don't like using this terminology because I believe it belongs to the original creator. I prefer to use the term "graffitattoorism," which describes a wide range of inspirations drawn from various fields of art. Furthermore, like them, I base my work on extensive study of poster graphic design and other art forms in which these elements were already well-established. Red, for example, has been used in poster design for years. We react to each color differently, and we react particularly intensely to red. Beyond the visible elements that define the style, I pay great attention to composition, ensuring everything is evenly organized.

Personally, I draw inspiration from various fields of art, such as abstract, avant-garde, design, and dark surrealism. If you like what I do, please let me know. You'll usually find me in Edinburgh, but who knows, maybe I'll visit other cities.
